HELLO BINI
BINI is an eight member girl group that was officially launched by ABS-CBN’s Star Hunt June of this year.
Together, they are being introduced to the press and bloggers via a zoom mediacon for us to get to know them better.
BINI’s “Born To Win”, their empowering debut single, was released last June and has now recorded 870,000 views on You Tube and over 300,000 streams on Spotify.

MEET THE BINI LADIES
BINI is composed of lovely and talented young ladies namely Aiah, Colet, Maloi,Gwen, Stacey, Mikha, Jhoanna and Sheena. Nakaka-proud talaga ang mga bagets na ‘to dahil kahit kaka-launch pa lang nila, sunud-sunod na ang mga projects at TV performances ang nakaabang para sa kanila. Discovered and trained under ABS-CBN’s Star Hunt which trains and develops talents for international stardom, ihinahanda na rin ang BINI para sa kanilang mas bonggang pag angat lalo na ang makilala sa iba’t ibang panig ng mundo.
During the mediacon, we learned that the name BINI was derived from Binibini, which in Filipino means Miss and they are examples of what modern Filipinas are.
Since their group started and became known, a lot has changed as well especially in their everyday lives.
Nu’ng tinanong sila what keeps their group busy nowadays and how they’ve been doing since their launch, BINIMaloi replied: ”Right now we are preparing po for our album. Hindi pa rin po nawawala ang training because we want to give the best of ourselves. Saka best performance po talaga ‘yung ginagawa namin. Inaaral po namin ‘yung mga songs everyday para mas ma-master pa namin para sa aming future performances. At kahit one month pa lang (since the their official launch last June) feel na feel po namin ang love and support.” She also said that their bond as a group became stronger because they live together and they know each other’s strengths and weaknesses.
BINI’S JUMPOFF TO STARDOM
Sa gitna ng pandemya, nakakatuwang may isang grupo ng mga talented young performers na nabuo ang Star Hunt ng ABS-CBN. What preparations did you have to do to prepare you to be a P-Pop group para magustuhan din kayo ng fans lalo na malakas din ang K-Pop dito sa Pinas?
“Right after the launch, we were busy preparing for our album and our songs. As much as possible, we want it to be inspirational and relatable as well.” Says BINIColet.
We all know that before BINI was discovered and mentored by Star Hunt, may mga girl group na rin sa music scene. So, what sets you girls apart from other girl groups na talagang aabangan ng fans sa inyo?
“ I know lahat ng girl groups ginagawa nila lahat ng best nila, but yung sa amin po kasi iba ang teamwork namin. Nakikita po sa performance namin na gamay na namin ang isa’t isa. Kung may problema po pinag uusapan agad, kung may mga nagkamali kino-correct talaga. I guess nasa training po namin yung ganoon.”
BINI AND THEIR DREAMS
Because their group is influential especially to the younger generation, na curious lang kami kung interested ba sila mag -artista?
“Yes po, dream namin ang mag-artista din po kung bibigyan ng chance. Pero right now mas magku-concentrate muna kami sa Bini.” Says BINI Gwen.
“Gusto din po namin ma feature sa MMK…” sabi naman ni BINIColet na taga-Bohol.
BINI,is also preparing for a busier second half of 2021 with the release of their debut album, which will feature original songs, and a joint concert with their brother group BGYO.
